The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) is a state agency responsible for implementing the Indigent Defense Act by providing trial, appellate and post-conviction criminal defense services to persons who have been judicially determined to be entitled to legal counsel.
The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) is currently seeking a full-time Account Clerk for our Finance Division, located in the Norman office.
Basic Purpose:
Account Clerk will assist in responsibilities related to purchasing, accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and all other aspects of fiscal management for the System.
Job duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
Paying agency invoices.
Assisting in the preparation of acquisitions.
Tracking agency inventory and assets.
Managing and coordinating the use of agency fleet vehicles.
Daily trips to the post-office; lifting boxes is required.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Applicants should be detail oriented, self-motivated, and a team player. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required. This position requires the use of an agency purchasing card (p-card). It also requires the use of the state’s accounting & transaction system, PeopleSoft. Preference may be given to candidates who possess experience with p-cards and PeopleSoft.
Level Descriptor:
Positions may be filled at Levels I - IV, depending on candidate experience.
