Position Description: 

The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) is the statewide public defender agency which provides legal representation to indigent clients throughout the State of Oklahoma, with the exception of Oklahoma and Tulsa counties.

OIDS is currently seeking a full-time Investigator in our Capital Trial Division, Sapulpa office.

Basic Purpose

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated; detail oriented; well-organized; communicate well with others; willing to travel throughout Oklahoma and elsewhere; be willing to work long hours; be proficient with computers; have excellent people-skills; be able to maintain confidential information; and have a commitment to excellent representation of indigent clients. Persons with experience in criminal investigation, social work, teaching/special education, journalism, psychology and counseling, or probation and parole are encouraged to apply.

Level Descriptor

Position may be filled at Levels I - VI, depending on candidate experience.

Special Requirements

Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
