Jo-Ann Wallace, President & CEO
Jo-Ann led the evolution of the NLADA Insurance Program into what is now NLADA Mutual Insurance Co., RRG. As CEO, she is responsible for the overall success of the mutual company which was designed to support the NLADA and equal justice community. Jo-Ann is the Immediate Past President of NLADA, where she held numerous leadership roles for over 20 years.
Dominique “Dom” Davis, Account Executive
With 12 years of experience in insurance underwriting, Dom joined NLADA Mutual in 2022. As an underwriter, she is in daily contact with our member-insureds. Dom also meets with members and others to discuss coverages and benefits of NLADA Mutual at various sponsored events in our community. Dominique handles policy premiums under $40,000 renewing in: AL, CA, CT, DE, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MS, NH, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, & VT.
David Kessler, Account Executive
David has been supporting the insurance program for 12 years. As an underwriter, he is in daily contact with our member-insureds. David also meets with members and others to discuss coverages and benefits of NLADA Mutual at various sponsored events in our community. David handles policy premiums under $40,000 renewing in: AK, AR, AZ, CO, DC, FL, HI, IA, ID, MN, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OK, OR, PR, SD, TX, UT, WA, WI, WV, & WY.
David Miller, Director, Insurance, Equity & Justice
David Miller is the Director of NLADA Mutual’s Insurance, Equity, and Justice Initiative. His work is focused on how the insurance industry can support people who have low income, in ways that are both good for justice and good for business. Prior to joining NLADA Mutual in 2025, David was Policy Director at the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, having worked at the organization for more than ten years advocating for access to justice and for fairness in our civil and criminal legal systems.
Ana Recuero, VP Insurance Operations
Ana has worked in the insurance industry for more than 35 years and joined NLADA Mutual in 2023. In her role, she manages the underwriting staff and the profitability of the insurance program. She works closely with our partner, MLM, on underwriting guidelines, referral accounts, and updating rates and coverages offered within the program. Ana also handles all new accounts and renewals with premiums over $40,000, regardless of location.
Stacey Salah, Deputy Director of Compliance
In this role, Stacey’s work operationalizes adherence to the many laws, regulations, and standards governing the insurance industry, including managing the contractors that work with NLADA Mutual to ensure regulatory compliance and coordinating the collection and analysis of key performance metrics in support of compliance and other business objectives.
Maria Soto, General Counsel
Maria worked for NLADA for 13 years. Now at NLADA Mutual, she will offer counsel on legal issues and facilitate business strategies development, supporting effective corporate governance and ensuring legal compliance.
