Bronx Legal Services is a part of Legal Services NYC (LSNYC), the largest provider of free civil legal services in the country. For 50 years LSNYC has provided civil legal services to help our clients meet their essential needs and to challenge the systemic injustices that bar equal access to the legal system.
The work of the Bronx Economic Justice Unit comprises employment law and unemployment insurance benefits, consumer law, combatting elder financial abuse and fraud, disability law, and representation of community groups in land use and environmental justice issues. We also represent taxpayers in tax disputes with the IRS and in advocacy efforts to resolve systemic tax problems.
