Position Description: 

The Hidalgo County Public Defender's Office is located in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley. Our offices are in the new state of the art Hidalgo County Courthouse in Edinburg, Texas. Edinburg is located approximately 70 miles from the sunny beaches of South Padre Island. We currently have openings for newly licensed and experienced attorneys. We represent clients from arrest to trial in misdemeanor and felony cases. Hidalgo County offers competitive pay, health insurance, retirement, and free CLE's among the many benefits.
