Position Description: 

Georgia Legal Services Program® (GLSP) has an opening for an Administrative Assistant in its Macon Office. The successful applicant will be an essential component to the Statewide Centralized Intake Unit. The applicant will assume intake phone responsibilities on a full-time basis 5 days per week.

Duties include, but are not limited to answering incoming calls for all GLSP offices, determining callers’ county of residence and reason for calling GLSP, determining if the caller’s request for legal assistance meets GLSP case priorities and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

Qualifications: The successful applicant must be at least a high school graduate; type 55/60 wpm, pass grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and proofreading tests. Must be familiar with basic office duties and be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office 365. Must have reliable transportation. Spanish speaker a plus.

Prior experience as a customer service receptionist or client pre-screener is a plus. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and have good writing and grammar skills.
