SALARY RANGE (Depending on Experience): $75,949 - $111,216 annually
We base salary and position offers on experience and an internal equity analysis.

Employment Status: Exempt; Regular; Full time (37.5 hrs)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position is responsible to the IT Director for supporting and helping to design the agency’s daily and ongoing technology systems (both application and operations) to ensure DRC staff receives excellent customer service and support in their use of automation tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Operational Management
Essential functions include:

1. Manage, monitor, and help update the information technology infrastructure, systems, networks, software, and all other automation resources within DRC to ensure continual functioning of mission critical operations.

2. Communicate clearly and in a timely manner to DRC staff at all levels and technical function within and outside of IT to provide basic and advanced assistance, support, advice, and problem resolution as needed or requested.

3. Research, recommend, design, set up, modify, test, and evaluate software systems in response to: recurring problems; improving system efficiencies; system security; and system performance.

4. Use of standard project management processes and techniques to define, plan, develop, monitor, and support DRC automation efforts.

5. Develop and document technical standards, procedures, training manuals, and conduct user or IT support staff training in the use of computer systems as needed.

SQL / Power BI Development and Programming

1. Development and programing of, ASP.NET, SQL Server scripting, CSS, JavaScript, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
2. Design, implement and support packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
3. Design and implement reports using SQL server Reporting Services (SSRS)
4. Write TSQL queries and Stored Procedures
5. Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.
6. Create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI.
7. Identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently.
8. Analyze data and present it through reports that can help in decision-making.
9. Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasks.
10. Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis.
11. Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI.
12. Create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations.
13. Perform SQL querying for best results in a data warehouse environment.
14. To use filters and graphs for a better understanding of the data.
15. To define and design new systems by analyzing current ETL processes

Other
1. Participate in outreach activities annually to underserved communities.
2. Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The following describes general working conditions and requirements of the job, which can be performed with or without disability related reasonable accommodations. Duties regularly require sitting using computer equipment and talking or hearing. Duties occasional require periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching primarily related to filing and processing paperwork. Weights to be lifted and/or moved of filing boxes and other packages up to 25 pounds are occasionally encountered.

Requirements: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Five years of experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects
3. Five years of experience working with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS
4. Five years of hands on experience and proficiency developing, ASP.NET, SQL Server, CSS, JavaScript, MS SQL Server BI Stack, including TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
5. Ability to communicate and work well with all management levels of the organization.
6. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work well under pressure and deadlines, as well as understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions, with minimum supervision.
7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team and complete projects on time.
8. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, including of working knowledge of correct English grammar, punctuation, spelling and sentence structure.
9. Strong interpersonal and customer service, including ability to handle difficult situations patiently and tactfully.
10. Experience working with or sensitivity to individuals with disabilities or individuals from ethnic and language distinct communities.
11. Very strong understanding of ITIL-like attitudes toward managing a data center (change/incident/problem management, documentation)
12. Proven ability to work as part of cross functional technical teams in a collaborative setting

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

1. One year of hands-on experience with Assistive Technology, such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, Braille displays/keyboards/printers, alternate input/output devices, speech recognition, or other accessibility software or hardware.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Able to travel occasionally for meetings, providing training, or outreach activities up to 10% of the time.
