I am nearing the end of my first month of work, and it blows my mind how fast time really does fly when you are having fun. This entire month has been full of trainings, meetings with coworkers and potential mentors, and good conversations with great people.
After getting some clarity on what my exact function within the organization is, I felt more confident in my ability to step up to the plate.
Also, I really appreciate my coworkers. They are always open to answering questions and helping me learn. My favorite part of this week was an impromptu Teams meeting with one of the SQL experts in our department, Bryan. He thoroughly explained the difference, benefits, and execution of “JOIN” versus “UNIFY” for me. After a few practice exercises with me soon leading the exercises, we literally gave each other a round of applause via video chat. I believe this is going to be a great service year!
