NLADA Insurance Program
The NLADA Insurance Program is the advocate and provider of quality professional liability insurance products for the full spectrum of the National Legal Aid & Defender Association community – individual attorneys, legal aid organizations, public defenders, corporate pro bono programs, law school clinics, individual clients and public interest groups that work toward justice. Formed in 1994, the NLADA Insurance Program currently provides professional liability coverage to more than 900 member organizations and individuals. The program is distinguishable from its competitors in that a portion of its proceeds supports the mission of NLADA and its membership community.
Mutual of America Pension and Retirement Savings Plans
Mutual of America has been working with nonprofit organizations since 1945 and has a solid reputation for superior customer service. NLADA has offered our employees retirement planning through Mutual of America for over 40 years. NLADA has partnered with Mutual of America to provide qualified retirement plans for members. NLADA program members who meet certain criteria are eligible for a waiver of certain plan-related administrative charges attributable to Defined Contribution type plans. On February 8th, 2023 Mutual of America Financial Group hosted a webinar entitled “Know Your Fiduciary Duties in Managing Your Organization’s Retirement Plan” for NLADA members. Topics discussed in the webinar included: knowing your duties, avoiding pitfalls and mitigating risks of an IRS audit, US Department of Labor investigation and more.
