The Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit civil law firm, seeks a self-motivated, outgoing Administrative Assistant. This is an administrative, non-attorney position that will work closely with the office’s Staff Attorney, Regional Operations Manager, and other staff. The successful candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for serving low-income Georgians with these abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide clerical support to office staff.
Operate all office equipment (i.e., printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones, and computer equipment).
Assist office manager with various tasks and projects.
Cover the Front desk as needed.
Distribution of incoming mail
He/she must have an exceptional knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Vehicle and valid driver’s license required for business-related travel
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office programs
Demonstrated desire and capacity to serve low-income populations
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience working in a law firm or nonprofit organization preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven ability to innovate and improve existing programs
High School Graduate; some college preferred
Ability to speak Spanish is highly preferred
This is a 35 hour per week position with a starting salary of $28,500, some experience credit may be available. The program provides generous fringe benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off including parental leave; birthday holiday; health, life, and long and short-term disability insurance; tuition reimbursement up to $2500 per year; 403B with 3% match.
